THE WINE TO WATCH
There is so much to say about this Spanish grape. We could talk about how it grows on pergola canopies above your head to deter rot or about how hard it is to grow since the grapes are tiny with thick skins. We could also mention that it makes up some of the oldest vines in the world, over 300 years old! But instead we'll talk about taste.
Lagar de Costa's Albariño is translucent green in color with notes of kiwi, kumquats and ripe sweet Greengage plum. Tart, bracing acidity adds a sour-then-sweet guava candy flavor before soursop and lemon round out the unctuous finish. Enjoy with all things seafood, especially ceviche, or alongside Thai peanut sauce.
