Carefully Curated

Peaks & Valleys - $78

Running a vineyard is not too different from real estate in that one thing is paramount - location, location, location. Europe has had hundreds of years to determine which locations work best for which grapes - details like if the hillside faces the sun and how much fog forms in the morning. Each vine is planted for one reason - to make the best wine! This curated box features six carefully chosen wines, three reds and three whites.

Highlights include a Spanish Verdejo that is crisp, herbaceous and mineral-rich. Lively with crisp white peach and zesty lime notes all surrounding a clean core.

Includes 6 wines. 100 ml each.

Jaspi Negre

This bold red blend comes from Montsant DO a region in Spain. Since 2002, 65 wineries in 6 sub zones have carved out a unique and worthy DO in the shadow of nearby Priorat.

This red has ripe red and black fruits, herbaceous notes and spice and soft velvety tannins for structure. The fruit flavors in this wine are deep in color but still tart, sort of like how a nice pour over coffee can be both tart and robust. Cherries, raspberries, pinch of balsamic and a little white pepper.

Perfect with grilled seafood, blue cheese, oxtails over rice.
