Deep ruby in the glass with ripe cherries and blackberries on the nose. Cracked pepper and savory herbs play second fiddle to to a fresh and juicy palate of dark fruits.

White peach aromas with green tea and fennel notes in the bouquet as well. The palate carries these zippy flavors through with minerality on top of the crisp, juicy nectarine and other stone fruits.

Interesting fact

Dry farmed, head trained vines populate the vineyard here with little trellissing in favor of a more natural approach. A truly minimal intervention style and certified organic.

Tasting notes

Carignan is much more than it's typical spicy complexity, and when it's not blended and made purely of carignan, the wine can show off it's ripe strawberry and plum aromas and tart cranberry flavors with little hints of savory herbs. Like a light bodied CA zinfandel but with more rusticity and wildness to the nose.

This wine is part of a solo varietal series by Chateau du Donjon, highlighting the individual grapes typically blended together in Languedoc-Roussillon

Tasting notes

A rare blend of sherry grapes and white wine grapes culminating in an intense straw yellow offering. Green sparkles in the glass give off aromas of pineapple, apple and exotic fruits while the palate brings meyer lemon and sweet herb notes to the mix.
