YOU SAMPLED a Bold red from Giovanni Abrigo Barolo Ravera 2014A special treat of Italy's most famous and expensive wine, Barolo. Also known as the "King of Italy", this wine displays concentrated dark fruits and clove with touches of blood orange and cranberry with fragrant tannins. 2014 was a colder vintage that lacks longevity but makes up for it in expressiveness.
PERFECT WITH Coq au Vin, grilled radicchio salad, 5-spice chicken, truffles. |

YOU SAMPLED a Bold red from Domaine Capmartin Cuvée du CouventDense tannins, powerful black fruits and very fine acidity. Almost black in color, the wine is graceful amongst its power. Aged for over 20 months, including 12 in barrels, the wine is ready to be enjoyed as soon as the winery releases it, with an additional few years of aging potential for those with patience. Notes of roasted nuts, toast and coffee mingle with candied black fruits and a seemingly melted oak flavor. Yum.
PERFECT WITH Roquefort cheese, sausages, and mushroom toast. |

YOU SAMPLED a Medium red from Domaine Brazilier “Rochambeau”A fun and unique wine made from grapes left to mature a touch longer on the vine, concentrating the fruit flavors to pie-filling like richness. However, the wine is then vinified dry - not sweet! - and aged in a combination of stainless steel and oak to maintain all of the mature fruit characteristics. Just enough velvety smooth tannins surround the core of ripe blackcurrant jam, raspberry pastry-filling and a just touch of floral-scented wood.
PERFECT WITH Baked beans, strong cheeses, cassoulet, and anything with Brie. |

YOU SAMPLED a Medium red from Domaine Dumas BrouillyHailing from Northern Beaujolais, this wine has an intense red fruit core of sweet Rainier cherry, spiced wild berry bramble, ripe strawberries and super silky-soft tannins. The Gamay grapes add a bit of body to a typically lighter wine.
PERFECT WITH Andouille sausage, Bolognese pizza, charcuterie, chicken tagine. |

YOU SAMPLED a Bold red from Château Hourbanon 20112011 was a tough year for Bordeaux, especially following the historic harvest 2010 was. However, that doesn’t always mean a bad thing when you’re talking about wines that “need age.” Due to low yields and lower alcohol, the 2011s are peaking right now! Expect a nose dominated by subtle leather and violently aromatic cherry, a concentrated palate with noticeably brighter tannins and acid even only 1 year younger than the 2010, and a slight spice.
PERFECT WITH Burgers, steak nachos, nighttime boat rides, semi-fancy dinner parties. |

YOU SAMPLED a Medium red from Costa Catterina Nebbiolo d’Alba “Nebbia”A younger and brighter expression of Nebbiolo than you’ll find with the Barolo. Still aged in large oak casks, though only for 24 months, the wine displays more of the tart raspberry and fresh snipped flower scents and drinks with flavors of bright red fruits, cherries soaked in alcohol and licorice, and a touch of forest floor bramble.
PERFECT WITH Seasoned cheeses, spicy Asian cuisine, Grandpa’s venison steaks, beef jerky. |

The finish lingers with spicy notes, red fruits and marjoram. Made from a blend of indigenous grape Duras and Fer, the local name for Cabernet Franc!
PERFECT WITH Spicy BBQ, cheeseburgers, by itself with a slight chill. |

YOU SAMPLED a Medium red from Meldor RiojaA traditional wine with a touch of modernity! Black forest fruit like blackberries and blueberries and chocolate covered cherries with oak providing an elegant aroma of toffee and sweet violets. Fleshy on the palate with good acidity and loads more of those rich forest berries. A fun wine for both new wine drinkers and traditionalists!
PERFECT WITH Grilled tuna, sausages, flat top burgers, Korean BBQ. |
