Region: Rueda, Spain
Grapes: 100% Verdejo
A crispy, herbaceous and mineral-rich wine. Lively with crisp white peach and zesty lime notes all surrounding a clean core.
Tart candies like lemon drops, sour gummies, or green apple flavored candies will complement the acidity of the wine.
Ruth and Ana, the two De Andres sisters, are polar opposites. Ruth is the winemaker. She studied chemistry and enology in Spain, while Ana is the project manager who runs the day to day operations.
Region: La Mancha, Spain
Grapes: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
The full bodied Cabernet fruit shines with red currant and raspberry aromas surrounding a strawberry led palate with a hint of sweetness.
Enjoy with dark chocolate, black licorice, or berry-flavored hard candies. The bitterness of the chocolate and licorice will contrast with the sweetness of the wine, while the berry flavors will complement the fruit notes in the wine.
La Mancha is an arid yet fertile elevated plateau south of Madrid. The name is derived from the Arab word 'al-mansha' or 'the dry land.'
Estola Gran Reserva
Region: La Mancha, Spain
Grapes: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon
Earthy vanilla and ripe blackberry and plum are framed by cigar box like space and sweet hints of toffee and nutmeg. At almost a decade old, this true Reserva wine drinks with complexity and grace.
Rich chocolate-covered cherries, caramels, or toffee will match the intensity of the wine, while the caramel and toffee flavors will complement the oak and vanilla notes in the wine.
With the 1965 harvest, the Estola brand was launched, the flagship of the winery and the first Reserve wine in La Mancha, which very soon would attract the attention of the specialist critics and personalities. FYI: a Gran Reserva has been aged for at least 5 years, with at least 18 months in oak.
Solo Lei Garganega
Region: Veneto, Italy
Grapes: 100% Garganega
A crisp and mineral nose with jasmine, slate and white grapefruit. The palate is fresh and fruity with asian pear, white peach and underripe melon. A little almond paste and lime zest on the crisp, snappy finish.
Pecan pralines are a lovely match for this wine pairing well with the almond notes in the wine. The sweetness of the candy will also complement the peach and lemon flavors in the wine.
