A very attractive vintage for wines from Graves, 2014 produced wines with big fruit and firm tannins. Black plum and cassis with baked raspberry, blackberry sorbet and a clean, precise finish with just enough grip. Also, currently the only certified Organic winery in Pessac-Leognan.

Brilliant and bright with notes of fresh apricots, rainier cherries, freshly chopped Serrano chiles and a hint of lychee. Refreshing and brisk, this blend of Semillon, Sauvignon blanc and Muscadelle from Bordeaux’s Cadillac zone is lively and oh-so-easy to enjoy.

Domaine Meix Guillaume Rully Rouge

A big, rich Burgundy from one of our favorite winemakers. Complex in that amongst the normal cherry and strawberry jam notes there is a strong whisper of Dr. Pepper and Cola flavors - almost cherry cola or fig like. Have no fear, the feminine touch is present in that the wine finishes light and airy. Truly a feat, and one that takes a womans touch to achieve.

Clisson Muscadet

Super high quality Muscadet, a wine typically reserved for plastic cups and trips to the beach (which this would still completely be perfect for, btw.) Textured and rich from whole cluster pressing with fragrant almond flower and quince notes on first sniff. The mouthfeel is accentuated by flavors of sugar torched grapefruit, ripe lemon curd, fresh lemon oil and a distinctive chalky minerality that lengthens the finish. A real treat for a Muscadet.

YOU SAMPLED a Bold red from

Tenuta Morinello La Pieve Chianti

In order to preserve the quality of the fruit picked, this Sangiovese based wine is vinified in concrete and aged in oak for a little over six months. The result is an intense ruby colored Chianti drinking with prominent dusty cherry and fresh blackberry fruit with underlying hints of brambly forest floor and a clean, clear finish.

Château Beauregard Mirouze Cuvée Lauzina

A blend of 45 year old vines of Syrah and Grenache, this organic Corbières has tons of structure layered with harmonious fruit. A deep garnet color greets you in the glass before notes of ripe red and black currant, garrigue spice and richness from the oak aging catch up. Karine and Nicolas reduced the vineyard by half to convert to 100% organic practices and essentially went from “quantity” to “quality” with passionate determination.

Les Hautes Terres Bandol Rosé

The heavy presence of Mourvédre in this blend makes for a strong character in a light wine. Intense fruit and floral notes of stargazer lily and fresh cut strawberry are almost concentrated in nature. Following the initial outburst of scents come notes of peach, pomegranate and delicate spice notes to balance out the wine.

Smoked salmon, Arrabiata pasta, bruschetta, charcuterie

YOU SAMPLED a Bold red from

Domaine Capmartin Cuvée du Couvent

Dense tannins, powerful black fruits and very fine acidity. Almost black in color, the wine is graceful amongst its power. Aged for over 20 months, including 12 in barrels, the wine is ready to be enjoyed as soon as the winery releases it, with an additional few years of aging potential for those with patience. Notes of roasted nuts, toast and coffee mingle with candied black fruits and a seemingly melted oak flavor. Yum.
