Tastes like

Powerful primary aromas of ripe black fruit and hints of strawberry/raspberry. Very dense on the palate, with black fruit and red cherry flavors. Firm, structured and exceptionally rich.

Situated in Minervois, one of the oldest wine-producing areas in the Languedoc, Château du Donjon has been in the Panis family for 500 years. Jean Panis took the reins from his father, Guy, in 1996 and has taken the estate to new heights, with the historic 1998 vintage marking the beginning of a golden era that continues to this day.

Tastes like

Deep pink in color and super floral on the nose with red flowers and peach blossoms. The palate is dripping with pomegranate and currant flavors, deep yet tart, and finishes with that classic almond-meets-cherry floral note that only Italian wines can achieve.

Kimchi Jjigae, BBQ chicken pizza, cured meats

Cerasuolo means "cherry" in Italian, and the wines made here tend to look like and taste like the delicious summer berry.

Rousanne, Vermentino



Tastes like

Light green in color with a richness to the nose. Notes of grapefruit, caramelized passion fruit, a touch of vanilla and some Pear Williams' as well. The fruits translate to the palate with a freshness that's balanced by minerality and fruitiness.

Truffle toast, beurre blanc, as an aperitif

Located between the sea and the Thau Lagoon, Château du Donjon is located about 10 kilometres north-east of Carcassonne in the heart of Bagnoles. It was once the property of the monks of the abbey of Caunes-Minervois and was used as an outpost. It takes its name from the ancient castle at Bagnoles. The estate has been in the PANIS-MIALHE family since the 15th century and still has its picturesque 13th century donjon.

Tastes like

Deep garnet color boasting intense scents of red fruits and whiffs of vanilla tinged berries. There's a bramble twig undergrowth note in there along with some spicy hints from the wood aging.

Red meats, Chorizo, runny cheeses, gratin of potato or root vegetable

Learn more

Gaillac has been making wine for well over 2,000 years. Originally one of the growing regions of the Gaul along with Hermitage and Cote-Rotie, the grapes here were imported by The Phoenicians during the 4th century BC.

100% Cabernet Franc



Tastes like

A trendy, fruity cabernet franc meant to be served with a chill! Bright tart red fruits like berry flavored candy shine with little sparkles of herbs and spice.

Charcuterie, crunchy salads, rotisserie chicken

Cabernet Franc is sometimes referred to as Breton here. Also, there are TONS of castles in Saint-Nicolas. According to local legend, Cabernet Franc (Breton) was brought to Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil after it was first planted at the nearby Abbey of Bourgueil. Even today the Abbey still has plantings of the grape in its garden.

Grapes --100% Malbec



Tastes like

Almost a pale purple, this light bodied and ultra-lightly oaked Malbec explodes with juicy blackberry and farmstand cherry juice flavors and a handful of peony.

Veggie stir fry, grilled steak, french dip

Learn more

The winery is built on the border of a former iron mine that closed at the end of the 19th century. Iron deposits were rich here having accumulated over 35 million years ago when the region had a tropical climate.

Tastes like

Lemon-green in color with intense aromas of almond and orange flowers backed by a refreshing squeeze of citrus with grapefruit in the front and nectarine and pear in the back. Sweet herbs frame a palate of juicy citrus and fresh stone fruit.

Oysters, sashimi sushi, smoked foods

Catalunya is home to Penedes, the heart of Cava country in Spain. Although Cava is the focus here, growers have started to find success with still wines in all colors and styles. Typically these wines are enjoyed within Spain but this year we all get to taste them!

Region --DO Ribeira Sacra, Spain

100% Mencia



Tastes like

Tart acidic red fruits like raspberry and fresh cherry mingle with orange peel and pink peppercorn on the nose. Those tart berry flavors translate to the palate along with rose petal, faint liquorice and roasty coffee notes. The finish is clean and mineral driven with an almost saline like snap that brings you back in for another taste.

Beef in vermouth sauce, tuna tataki, mushroom curry

Tolo do Xisto translates to "Crazy about Schist" in homage to the rocky Schist soils the grapes are grown in.

Tastes like

Bright and dense red cherry. High intensity on the nose with red and black berry fruits present, backed by subtle hints of wood and spice. Full-bodied and fruit-forward with red currant and berry fruits, spice and developing notes.

Terra Alta is the most southerly region in Catalonia. Terra Alta has the highest altitude in Spain, with peaks here reaching 3,000 feet! No surprise as Terra Alta means 'High Land' in Catalan.

100% Falanghina



Tastes like

Fermented in oak barrels with light battonage (stirring on the lees) for extra body and texture. The nose is ripe with exotic fruits like pineapple, mango and papaya sprinkled with lime zest and nestled in a hollowed out grapefruit with tangerine wedges and little white flowers all around. The palate carries all of these fun fruity flavors and adds soft almond and a hint of a salty sea breeze.

Tastes like

Raspberry and wild strawberry, together with herb aromas like oregano and thyme. Soft and velvety in the mouth finishing with freshness and vibrancy and a lingering note of sweet herbs.

Tastes like

This Sicilian white boasts orange peel and spring flower notes - a welcome scent in the colder months. Yellow apple flavors and bright lemon notes round out the wine.

Situated in what they describe as "a place of extraordinary beauty," the Contrada Sulleria vineyard in Rodi Milici overlooks a picture-perfect view of the Mediterranean Sea. Once occupied by Julius Caesar, because he was a fan of the wines made by the Mamertime people, the area is truly breathtaking.

Tastes like

A tropical fruit basket of pineapple, ripe melon and a touch of banana. All these flavors translate to the palate but remain as refreshing as a fruity, dry white tea.

Respect for nature is an obsession at Tandem. We follow the precepts of sustainable viticulture which uses the least intervention possible while at the same time maintaining the vineyard’s health and viability. The natural conditions of the valley ensure that pesticide treatments can be kept to the minimum and they basically take the form of sulphur and copper, avoiding products made of synthetic chemicals.

Region --Costeres de Segre, Spain

Grapes --50% Tempranillo, 30% grenache, 20% Cabernet



Tastes like

A fun nose full of strawberry and cherry aromas and hints of violet, almost like adult Kool-Aid. Clean fruit flavors on the palate with red berries leading the pack and light floral notes playing in the background. More body than you would think from the nose, but enough acidity to balance it out and make for an easy to drink elegant wine with substantial length!

Pasta with any sauce, cold cut sandos, tacos with mango salsa

Tastes like

Straw color with an intense green iridescence, the nose is granny smith apple, white peach and asian pear and a certain herbaceous character like green guava candy and fresh cut grass.

Tastes like

Greenish-yellow with golden highlights in the glass when the light catches it the right way. Sweet fennel and other herbs can be detected on first sniff with pear and tropical fruits eventually rising from the glass. Broad and unctuous with a light glycerin mouthfeel, marked acidity and white pear, white peach, warm grass flavors. Also, is that a touch of sweet hay or lanolin?

Salmon nigiri, spicy cuisine, charred octopus, braised rabbit

All vines located in Terra Alta region of Spain with average ages ranging from 35-100 years old depening on the plot. All bush trained fruit sitting at about 400m above sea level.

50% Grenache, 35% carignan, 10% syrah, 5% cabernet



Tastes like

The silky tannins of the wine are wrapped around a core of bright red currant fruit and cherry cordial flavors. Pomegranate, spiced toffee and even a touch of mandarin orange frame the finish. 12 months in a combination of French and American oak lends subtle spice and tames the tannins.

Carthusian Monks tended the vines here for almost 700 years from 1163 when they formed the Cartoxia s'Escaladei Priory until 1835 when lands were claimed by the state and redistributed. Escaladei means "ladder to god" in Latin

A peppery and spice filled nose of white flower and rambutan fruit. Rich on the palate with lychee, ripe golden pineapple and golden delicious apple flavors lifted by a tart apricot note.

Slightly acidic, flush with fruit and soft on the palate - the trifecta for a “little white French sipper.” Chamomile and yellow apple flavors dominate before petite white flowers and a touch of crisp acid wrap it up.

The Donjon wine family waters a portion of their vines thanks to an old agreement document signed between a village and the family patriarch. In exchange for fixing a dam washed away by a flood, they were to receive water for their vines til the end of time. The dam was repaired in 3 days and lasted for centuries.

Tastes like

Notes of wild strawberry and freshly smashed mulberry with little hints of almond tart and blood orange. Fresh yet structured on the palate, like biting into a juicy handful of berries. A slight saline finish keeps the wine light on its feet and super easy to drink.
